The truth is people tend to follow leaders who lead well.
In my 30+ years in corporate environments I have seen many programs facilitated to create or enhance collaborative work environments. They all failed when leaders did not step up and do the necessary work of embodying and modeling the desired change.

The programs were not flawed. The flaws existed in a disconnection between the workforce and its leaders. An unspoken message was sent to the teams that "the training is for you because you need to improve your collaboration and work efficiency”. In essence, Do as I say, not as I do.

I do not believe most ‘leaders’ intended to send this message, but they were unaware that their intent and the experienced impact were deeply disconnected.​​

Enneagram Outfitters provides guided training that builds awareness. We use the Enneagram, Neuroscience, Psychological Systems Principles, and 30 years of Corporate Experience to explain and train leaders to use various lenses to increase human awareness. EO training builds on a common language that normalizes peoples’ needs & capacities, teaches skills to express and receive perspectives, and provides illustrations of common human patterns. These all create windows for better understanding oneself, co-workers, leaders, and clients--which creates powerful connective potential between people that naturally energizes a business community.
